Sea Dweller Octopus 2008

Anyone else heard of this model, just seen it in the Mail on Sunday paper in the UK. The details are as follows:- Only 78 examples were made and they were for the elite unit of divers for the Italian State Police and the divers are not allowed to sell them, the units logo an Octopus is printed on the dial and the case back is specially inscribed. They were made for the units 50th anniversary, and one has come up for sale and the asking price is £70,000 yes that is right £70,000 not a typing error.

Very cool. Small batch runs are a good way appeal to nonwatch guys / gals. I like a co as big as Rolex will still do these....

I say, do more.

On todays exchange rate that would workout at about £15,294, that is a hell of a difference from £70,000 classic case of don't beilive all you read in the papers.
