Chronoswiss Opus
TRFer's,
I find myself inexplicably compelled to buy a Chronoswiss Opus. I think they're just beautiful. My personal preference is the SS model ("CH 7523 S bl" to be exact), but I hear the solid rose gold is amazing to look at, though I've never seen one in person. Anybody have any experience with this watch (or Chronoswiss for that matter)? How about opinions as between the SS, SS/YG, YG, SS/RG, and RG incarnations? Thanks for any input, Ryan |

That was actually my very first nice watch... The 38mm case maybe a bit small, but it is thick and fits nicely. The way that movement was reworked is simply amazing. They could have done a bit more with the rotor, but that's just me being picky. Other than that - nice elegant, accurate, and reliable - what else can you ask for?

I LOVE this watch and have actually owned it at least two times. It's on my short list to get again, but the retail keeps going up and up. I like the SS version also which comes in a silver or blue dial version. The RG model is stunning. I'll have to talk to Greg about it someday.

Thank you very much for your opinion. It's really nice to hear from somebody "in the business" that I'm not looking to buy a piece of junk! Can you find me the CH 7523 S bl? I spoke to Alan Furman (really nice guy btw) yesterday about the watch, but his price seemed high compared to what I've researched. Thanks again, Ryan |

I'm buying the watch to keep, so I don't want to have to buy it twice! Thanks again, Ryan |

IMO, the RG is not too pinkish. It's just about $5K more than the SS model, which essentially capures the essence of a fine skeleton watch without the additional expense.
