Question about price increases
I am new to the forum and I just purchased my first ROLEX-SUB 16610- in December The "problem" is that I am already planning my next ROLEX purchase at the end of this year. The next one I will purchase is the two tone Submariner Date 16613. The current price for this model is $7825.00.
I am just curious if Rolex increases prices on a yearly basis, and if so how much are those price increases. I would like to purchase my next ROLEX in December of this year, but I wasn't sure if the prices would go up in October like they did in '06. I appreciate your responses to my questions.

Andrew, as I recall the Oct price increase was the first in the U.S. in about 18 months. Prior to that I believe the increases occured in Feb.
I wouldn't look for another this Feb. but after that who knows? Rolex doesn't telegraph increases. Ads rarely know it's comming till just before. |

good luck on the purchase of your second rollie....i would suggest really getting a winder if you have 2 or else you could be like me and look like a lunatic waving your rollies around in a circle for 5 minutes a day to make sure the movement keeps working.

I'm sure it will. Just give me 'til the end of the year.
One more thing-how do you get such clear and detailed pics? All of mine are taken with a 7 megapixel camera and they look like crap.

I think the most important factor is the external light. Do NOT use the flash. And stick with "macro" mode only. Try and use as much natural light as possible, but without any of it bouncing off the crystal. Works for me!

What were the last three price increases in the US and how much were they? I want to try to predict the next three and guesstimate the prices to come.

I guess price increases vary across the globe.
When I got my Pricing list and catalog for Canada, the date on the Price list stated February 1, 2006. When I purchased my SD this past Tuesday, the MSRP of $6480 CAD matched that on the Feb. 2006 list. I asked the AD if there would be a price increase in the near future. She said she hadn't heard of any such increases as of yet but did mention that the prices had been the same since 2005. Are AD's in the dark about pending price increases, or do they get ample notice of up coming increases? |

Qatar's price increase on December 27th made them very close to the US prices.
