Materialistic. Annnd we're guilty.

I dont consider myself particularly HIGH MAINTENANCE, but I do enjoy having nice things I bet a lot of the people on this forum are like this too... ok so my question is.... What comes first?

Name some materialistic things that you just could not live without or not want to have or that you're just plain crazy about... or stuff you would buy if u had the money!

#1 would definitely be my ipod nano. Listen to it everyday on the way to school.
#2 Car. I Drive a 2002 Volvo V70, and it is pretty sweet. A BIG STEP UP from my old volvo 850 wagon.... If I had the extra cash I'd someday like to own a porsche 911.... and if i hit the lottery... an aston martin
#3 Cellphone & Watch! Both essentials for me to wake up and start my day
#4 Laptop. Spend most of my time on here.
#5 tv.... My house isnt really "pimped" right now, the tvs are all pretty small... but since im living on my own I guess that's ok... since i dont watch too much tv anyways.... but a nice 60"+ tv would be friggin schweeeet.

So What are some materialistic things that you would one day want or things you have and can't live without.... please share :)

Ipod Nano
Canon 350D digital SLR
Golf GTI
My Panerai thats on order - paid for now just waiting to score one!

I wish I had if I had the moola

some really good speakers for my Marantz Amp
brand new Golf GTI
Rolex DJ with that ice dial ( i dunno what its really called I must go learn)
I saw this gorgeous little silver necklace awhile ago, the pendant was a star and it was encrusted with these tiny little diamonds... really gorgeous and given I am not really into jewellery this is a rare want for me!

Yep, my dealership in FL gives a discount of 7% on all new Porsche cars they have for sale. Basically the price on the car sticker is the out the door price. No getting slapped with all those extra fees and taxes. This is on new purchases only. And there is no negotiating prices, they do fine with the sticker prices.

The have the same discount for fire dept employees, and that's where I worked before getting back in the Army. I asked but they will not combine the discounts, drat.

Things I want: I want it all!

Things I can't live without: Nothing - I started from scratch and if I had to do it all again, I wouldn't worry about it.

Myself would do away with all my materialistic things in exchange for good health. Thats the most important thing you will ever have in this life.

That's very true. Good health is not missed until you dont have it.
Now, having good health AND be financially comfortable, that's something!

The rest of the stuff is just that, stuff I don't really need.

My wife is useful around the house as well.

We were talking about this on another forum with the "watch you couldn't live without".

I was pretty darn happy when I didn't have a watch, carried only a cheap army surplus pocket knife, and drove a beat up pick up truck.

It could easily go away tomorrow. The next big Los Angeles earthquake could easily have me living with what I'm wearing at the time. None of it's too important.

Richness, has nothing to do with money ....

My family, our safety, health and happiness ... All other material things are much less important.Nice to haves, but not essential.
