Anyone see Rolex.com...Basel 2010....

Because it's there...

In reference to Mount Everest and why they were climbing it...

Then it shows Basel for March 18.

I wonder what that is leading up to...Explorer????

Interesting...

But the Sub is one of the most popular models...seems weird to not have a launch program or campaign for it as well...I haven't followed Basel and Rolex in the past at Basel but do they typically roll out more than one new version?

I saw that but the text is not clickable yet.
I'm guessing that as soon as Basel officially opens the statement will become clickable and there will be a new section on the website for the 2010 releases.

The gold and TT Subs came out last year with great fan fare. So maybe it is the Exp's turn.

I really do think the Exp I is a true classic that should not be tampered with, perhaps with the exception of a slightly larger case (no more than 38mm) and date complication. Such changes would not depart from its origins too much.

With respect to the Exp II, however, I say go for it. Bring on the orange hands, super case etc...

That way Explorer lovers will still have options: classic vs contemporary.

It's now 7:30am Wednesday 17 March 2010 in Switzerland, so Baselworld will be about 26 hours away from now for its official start.

Maybe we can have an hourly countdown:

T minus 26 hours and counting.................

i think it would be genius, if the stopped making the current sub, released new explorers I & II, and didnt come out with the SS ceramic sub till 2011. They create more hype for the SS-ceramic sub, the current sub sales go through the roof and on top everything else, the explorer I and II sell like hot cakes.
