If you had three BNIB Rolex watches, the 14060M, 16610 and the 16610LV, and wanted to wear only one, as your daily watch, which would you choose and why?

For argument sake, we will say that the two unworn watches will remain in pristine, unopened condition for an extended period of time for whatever reason.

hey man. Sub - versatile, goes with my suit and my casual clothes. LV a bit too wild, and M, well, it doesn't have the date function...

Out of those three I'd pick the 16610LV, but I'd get a black bezel and put on it. If given a 4th possible option, I'd get a GMT IIC as a daily wear.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I wonder if anyone would consider potential collectability/higher value of the unworn watches as reasoning for selecting the daily wear watch.

In other words, would you sacrifice wearing your favourite watch because it is one that you think may be more collectible in the future?

For me, between these 3 watches, as a daily wearer - the obvious choice would be the 16610 because of the black bezel, which I guess goes pretty well with everything.

But I didn't choose the 16610, instead I went with the LV, which is one of my personal favorites, and I wouldn't care if the green perhaps wasn't the right choice to go with everything. But who cares, nobody have died from a little colour.

No. I would never buy a watch that I didn't intend to wear. If it were a PN Daytona, Mil Sub, or DRSD.

I'm really surprised that the LV has garnished so many votes. I would have thought the 14060(M) would have been more popular.

I guess it's the lack of date that has left the 14060 behind in the poll. Personally, while I'm a fan of all three models, I really do like the clean dial of the Sub no date.

I'll take the 14060 as a daily wear all day long.......... I think that these polls are wishful thinking as I almost never actually see a LV out in public...

I do see a lot of Subs......... especially with the blue jean, country club set... It goes with the look, is practically bullet proof, and isn't so expensive that if you are active and have misadventure, it just adds character........

Great photo, Larry! Thanks for sharing. I'm sure you're right. There are probably many more Sub no date wearers around even if for no other reason than they've been around much longer.

By the way, did Rolex discontinue the anchor for the 14060M in 2002 (Y series)?
