Charge lume at bed time.
I do this every night, after I finish reading the latest posts here, I hold my watch up to my desk light for a minute, switch off the 'puter, then I go to bed. I love seeing the lume before I drift off.
I still see the it if I wake up 3 or 4 hours later, i'm quite impressed. Anyone else go through this little ritual or am I just barking mad? |

If I ever did that, that would quite possibly mean the end of my marriage. My wife is already tired of my watch enthusiasm, imagine how would she react if I bring a "weird habit" into our marital bed

I can still read mine at 4am after charging it for 30 secs right before bedtime. I don't think you are barking mad........

Sure why not? It saves me having to plug in my Seaseme Street Oscar the Grouch night light in case I need to make a bathroom run!

I always like to charge the lume...day or night!
Anyone know if using the lume often will shorten it's lifespan?

I tie my watch with a shoe string and lower it into the lamp and then tie the loose end to the top of the lamp and let it soak up the light for 30 mins every night!
NOT!!!

I take mine off and hold it to the light downstairs to get the lume nice and bright. I dont think Rolex make a good lume really, its ok but i have a Citizen watch that is better. The lume on the DSSD is supposed to be good (i'm just using this as an excuse to buy one).

I look for a light source to charge mine before going into the cinema to catch a movie, I stare at my SDDS lume more than looking at the cinema screen. This watch virus is getting outta hand!!

Nope, although I was looking at my YM's lume while watching a movie the other day. It never has glowed very brightly.

My wife has banned the Black Monster from the bed. It's lume is so bright, she says she can't sleep.

My tag has a lume face as well as numbers and hands. However I mistakenly wore it while using a sun bed about 15 years ago and the energy from the sun bed effectivley ruined the lume on the watch. It was excellent up to that point and it hardly holds any lume st all now.
