Again, beautiful!

Are you going to put a riveted band on it, or are you going to wear it on a NATO?

It will be going on a riveted band, may switch to a NATO every once in awhile though.

Thanks Michael, the dial is original to the watch as well.... Had a triplock crown installed at some point which I hear was quite common with the earlier 5513s when they were brought in for service. Also, the insert is from the 80s, no big deal eather. Neither one in my opinion affect the value of the watch very much and if needed can be restored back to original at a minimal cost. I am head over heals with this watch and I don't even have it yet! For me, this is my grail, always wanted one, tried to get one back in 1984 but they were still too expensive for me. Bought the 16610 a little while ago and just wasn't happy, then I tried to quel my quest for vintage with a 7928, didn't work either. Now I have what I want and will keep her till the day I die and then my daughter can use it as a down payment on a new car if she wants

Can't wait for her to arrive! I'm actually in the library right now waiting for the post office to open so I can mail my trade package off to it's new owner. It's a sad mixed feelings sorta day....Actually wearing a Rotary Elite on my wrist, don't really like it, it looks like a girlie watch..

BTW, what is the story? Why do some have the meters first and some do not?

The meters first dials are older than the feet first dials. I am not sure when they changed, (late 60's??).

The reason that they changed to feet first, unconfirmed rumour, is that the US/UK market which was then a large part of the Rolex market was of course still using imperial not metric measurements.

It would be good if anyone can confirm this or not.

I'm in no position to confirm that , however it would seem to me the most likely explanation .

Meter first are rarer and can be found in earlier 5513, they changed it to feet first in the late 60s since Rolex sold majority of their watches to the UK/USA market.

OK, i am heading off to lunch now and will hit the USPS office slightly after, will let you know the tracking number steve! I know you cant wait!

Yay!!!! Aelvin just let me know that my 5513 is on it's way! He was kind enough to even give me some nice packing pics to show me how nice he packed it...

He was nice enough to include a tube of Polywash!
