So, here is my question. WHY, won't Rolex make a WG GMT II? Possibly even a platinum. Some of the reasons I've heard posted include: "Well, the GMT is a working watch, so it's really not a a "all-gold" tytle. EXCEPT that they offer the watch in all yellow gold... And how about the Submariner, that classic is a "working" watch if there ever was one, and it's available in all WG. Even the Yachmaster, is available in an AG configuration, and a Platinum bezel as well.

It just seems to me, that there is no valid reason Rolex can't offer their classics, like a GMT, in all WG, or possibly even a platinum configuration, (how cool would that be!). The arguments that only the dress watches, like the Presdident should be offered in WG and platinum just don't hold up anymore.

So pleasse Rolex, enlighten us that crave those fine watches in better metals, .... WHY?

Hey Paul they do make the GMT in 18K white gold but with some Bling to it...

I've seen that one Tony... "SOME" Bling is being kind! That thing is as gaudy as a pimped out limo! I'd really like to see a WG... regular old GMT, I think it would be a great seller! Maybe even a platty one!

I think most people would confuse it for SS unless they made some other modification to it such as a different colored dial or bezel.

Waay back in the 80s they did have an all white gold subdate...

White gold watches from Rolex, always have to look different from their SS counterparts. With the Daytona, it has a different bezel and dial. Maybe Rolex will release WG GMT Master IIC in blue or green down the road...

A platinum version would be a paperweight.

Gold is heavier than steel, so the gold helps divers sink. Accordingly, Rolex has announced a titanium GMT with a very thin acrylic crystal, a nylon strap, and a helium entrapment valve, to help the airplane get off the ground.

It could still happen..

The White Gold for the Sub is new........ I suppose that it will only be offered in the blue to differentiate it from the SS model...

If the GMT came in some other dress, say a brown dial and bezel in WG, it would be killer...........
