As I wrote in a previous thread I started, I find I am MUCH happier when I generally avoid the news. However, as an educator it is my responsibility to stay informed and generate informative class discussions.

NPR's All Things Considered has been a wonderful source of information; after that I rely on the internet. However, the liberal and conservative bias (depending on the site) is so strong that I am skeptical at best of anything reported.

A small pigeon lands on my boat every now and then. The letters strapped to it's leg are from a sweet couple stranded on an island somewhere. I quit getting news from them when my fishing pole got hung on one of they're pesky "message in a bottle" hobbies. Some lady named Amelia Aerhart or something. I told her to quit writing me if she didn't have anything new to talk about.

I'm stranded, I'm lost, my plane ran out of gas, I'm hungry, come get me, I miss home, I, I, I, Me, Me, Me

Now in english please... for the rest of us peasants.

P.S. I believe "sometime" would be two words as used in your reply. As to biting you, I'll leave that to some less fortunate soul.

They don't make 'em like that anymore. Mr. Chronkite was quite a man. Had a home here on Cape Cod and was quite active in the alternative energy/land conservation debate.

Wasn't he deemed "the most trusted man in America"?

I basically just scan the newspaper and half listen on the TV because all news is biased depending on the ownerships' views!!!
