Last night >>>>>>>>>

Just did a search for "date change" and came upon the thread about the GMT IIc and it's date function.

http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=127713

I was up at midnight and was thinking to myself time to view the snap on the date.

At straight up midnight, the date did not change on my LV and I decided to view it for a couple of minutes more...still no change. Well, I was reading an article and I wanted to finish what little remained on the particular article which was less than a minute. I than picked up my watch at about 12:03:30ish and low and behold date had changed.

So it appears at least with the GMT IIc, that there are tolerances built in to occur within +- 5. Is that tolerance recognized by rolex as acceptable and what are the exact thresholds? Chart or info anyone... ? As always...thanks in advance.

Joel

That's normal Joel - the date might change anywhere from a few mins before midnight to a few mins after.

Cheers

Each watch's date change will deviate daily as well. No worries.

I commend you for actually using the search feature.

Seems like the same questions get asked all the time when a simple google search or a search on this forum would provide the answer much faster.

Well if people actually used the search function how would so many members get 5,000+ posts in 6 months?

True

The ones that make me chuckle the most are the ones that say "I'm sure someone will be along to answer your question soon".

my watches click over right at 12. It's not difficult to reset the hands to straight up 12 after using the crown to click over the date.

David, what am I missing... does it work to the second to advance to the point of date change, and than roll back the time to exactly 12 straight up for example... than at midnight push in the crown?
