yeah i've noticed a lot of comments about the LV here on the forum lately and hvae been wondering the same thing. Personally i thnk it is one of the best looking rolex's out there... and the fact that it is obviously different makes it stand out. But i dont know if i will ever get one because it is so different and would worry it prolly wont look good with everything. it seems pretty hard to match

I think Vic is right about matching the things. I guess you have to have kind of the feeling that it will stand out a little and not blend in. I guess the bad thing is that it might scream Rolex as the thing becomes better known. And it may just not be as dressy in some ways. On the other hand, people wear blue glasses frames and do all kinds of things with color these days. But I don't think you have to wear this watch with green clothes. It simply is what it is.

If I get mine as anticipated next week then for the first time in years no one will be able to pinch me on St Patty's Day!!!!
Can there be a better time of the year to get your LV sub? Luck of the Irish to you all!!!! K4S |

I bought mines because i liked it. Price wise 400 more is hefty. But to get something i wanted was worth it for me.

I think the LV matches any type of clothes. When wearing short sleeves or tee shirt you are casual and the LV look awesome. When wearing a suit, regardless of suit color, the LV is usually hidden underneath a long sleeve shirt and blazer. My LV doesn't even look green most of time - it just looks dark. Depending on how the light hits it it looks green.

^5, CHad! Basically... You get it or you don't. It's a matter of personal preference. I'm going to Hawaii in a couple days and nothing will feel more right around those lush green islands than my new LV. Anyone sporting a Green Submariner should be beyond worrying about it clashing or matching... That's a game for girls and metro sexuals. Yeah I said it... Matching colors is girl's work... If the tables were turned and the LV was $500 cheaper than the Black Submariner, I bet we'd still get the occasional... "I don't get it??? Why don't they just pay $500 more and get a REAL submariner?" Wouldn't that be funny?

"Matching colors is girl's work..."
Could not have said it better myself!! Besides, I pretty much wear black, olive, and tan clothing. ( and another besides, the only color green that chicks look at is the green in your wallet!!! lol) |

Well, he's going through law school isn't he? The LV is prolly going to be stifled in that button down environment.
Haha... and they dig scars...

And I was all on top of law now I'm kind of drifting away towards and MBA. Who knows Either way the LV would be frowned upon in that stuffy office ;) But who knows, I may keep it. Depends if i get the asking price :D I love the LV, just need more dressy i guess |
