Victoria, BC AD
2800 miles from Toronto to Victoria and finally had a chance to visit a Rolex AD!
How many times have you visited an AD to find less than friendly and/ or knowledgeable staff? Well I had the honor, and luck, of stumbling upon Paul Mara Fine Jewelry & Watches while in Victoria, BC. Douglas Mara was entering the store the same time I was when I asked if they sold Tudors. They didn't, however, it sparked a great conversation about Rolex, Tudor, vintage, and even TRF. Douglas was very generous with his time and knowledge and it was a pleasure to meet an AD who possessed the same passion we exhibit here. I'd like to formally invite Douglas to join our little asylum and suggest anyone in the area looking to purchase a new Rolex to visit Paul Mara Jewelers. dP

What a relief to find out they're not all like Turdneau!
Thanks for the pics, Dan

I'm sure he would have shown the Daytona if my wallet allowed but the wife warned me to behave. A very nice experience none the less. dP

I bought my GMT II c from Paul Mara . They gave me a 20 % discount. They also service vintage Rolexes that RSC will not because of age.

Yes, I concur, very nice establishment. It is certainly a joy to talk to someone who has a gleam in their eye when they talk watches vice someone who would be just as content selling cars.
What a great city Victoria is. The clubs on Yessler, great music scene, friendly people, quality food, reasonable hotels, and you don’t need a car if you stay in the city.
