Tokyo 1665 SD Number 4
ALCON,
Another 1665 SD recently sold in a Tokyo shop. This one has a pretty good ding on the bezel, but is still great! Love the SD! V/R, Mike |

Would be interesting to see how an sdds with a bezel ding like that would hold up.

I don't know about the SDDS. But I do know that the 1665, 16660, and 16600 would take the hit and keep on running! More and more I'm liking the old bezel inserts and bracelets. V/R, Mike |

Mike, I know that's right! Actually I was being a little facetious, since we know what the outcome would be. It's sad that with all the engineering and available materials at their disposal, Rolex choose to install a brittle plastic bezel insert for the sdds. Ain't your daddy's tool-watch is it?

tgoose1,
I agree 100%. Since I probably will not be able to afford owning the entire SD series, I will likely trade my 16600 for a 16660 and then for a 1665. Some how this series of watches has captured my imagination in a way that the new SDDS has not--at least not yet--never say never. V/R, Mike |
