Rolex Collectors Disease .....
Is there such a thing as a Rolex collectors disease ?
Once you get your first Rolex & feel how good wearing it makes you feel ..... You want more ! It's as if you feel you have finally overcome lifes big climb & you have got to the summit ! ( a small summit it may be to you lot) You have the holy grail .................. your first Rolex. Then suddenly you need more ...... I have always thought Rolex = Success (in finacial ways) Maybe i am wrong I grew up in a hard working very poor family, my Dad always promised himself a Rolex but could never afford one even today. I have one soon to be more My Dad is even proud LOL. Getting dressed in a " Flame retardent clothes as I type " Let the ridicule & Piss taking begin. |

As Chris has pointed out, it's called WISitis, and there is no cure!
Congratulations on your Rolex. Your dad has reason to be proud.

I think I aquired my sickness so fast I barely had time to realize it. I purchased my first Rolex in May and I already have a second Rolex on layway.
I have been infected. |

As much as I love my watches, there is no better experience than giving one away. I surprised my wife with one a few years ago....just a great moment.
I think it would be even cooler to give one to your father who loves Rolex but has never been able to have one....frankly I bet it will be one of the neatest moments of your life. |

I like to think of it as a "condition". With proper care and maintance (more watches), there's no reason not to expect a mostly normal life.

When you have only two wrists and have more than 9 Rolex, definetly there is a problem.
PS - This is a verdict from the Mrs. |

In answer to the original post - YES.
"When you have only two wrists and have more than 9 Rolex, definetly there is a problem." Seems perfectly normal to me. |

The fact that we're all posting on this forum assumes we have that disease....
