GMT-IIc and a 111 here. From week to week my desire to wear one or the other changes. But, I'll never ditch the 111. Beautiful watch!

Well I just took the plunge. I have enjoy Rolex, Omega and now my first Pam. They are all beautiful in their own way. Very different on the wrist, but wearing the Pam I still getvthat same very special feeling I get when wearing Rolex. I prefer the Pams that have in house movements as I feel this completes the elegance of a watch rather than using eta or valjoux movements.

My collection consists of three kinds of watches: Modern Rolex, Vintage Rolex and Panerai.
I agree with Mike's comment about the shared history of these brands and I think it results in my rationale for owning both brands.
Making the day to day choice of which brand to wear is the best part of owning both.

I've owned both Panerai & Rolex for over 10 years. The ND Sub is IMO one of those rare "perfect" watches.

As is the 243...what an awesome watch!

I have just recently purchased a PAM 104 and a SubDate and I think, although the panache is greater with the SubDate (with the general public), the PAM 104 is a much more beautiful watch overall.

Had a PAM 88 GMT. Sold it. Now strictly using and buying Rolex.

However, I may try Panerai again in the near future. Maybe a Radiomir.

Anyway, the story for me..
My Pam 88 always seemed not to keep time properly, or stop. I took it twice to have serviced at Panerai.
Still had the same problem. Got frustrated and sold it.
In addition, since the case is larger, It always seemed to find it's way into banging into things.
The good side of Panerai, was it is a very nice looking watch. Dressed up or dressed down, it is awesome looking. In addition, can easily change the straps.
I thought is was a very cool watch.
But just the frustration of the watch stopping whenever it wanted too, kind of pissed me off.

I will be trying another Panerai later in the future. Maybe I will have better luck.

Same here, particularly the "For Sale" section. I came from the other side, an Omega and a couple of Rolexes first. I do feel my Rolexes have a more solid build quality but the PAM is more versatile because of strap choices.

Got the GV and SS daytona. Purchased a Pam 312 few weeks ago and the rest was history!

I have both PAMs and Rolexes... They complement each other nicely. When I wanted a cleaner slim watch, I go for my rolex. If I want a more casual looking watch with a more rugged look, I'd go for my PAM.

And I don't suspect marinas to be a great dresswatch, but Rolexes like my DJII works very nicely as a dresswatch...

But that's just me though :)
