New Rolex Store in SF, CA
Saw today a new Rolex store is set to open in the Westfield San Francisco Center in Fall 2010. Its next door to Tourneau (which is awful!). Anyone know if this is owned by Tourneau and just a new rolex store still run by the lousy sales people next door?

This is potentially cool news.
The Turdneau in SF has fairly nice sales people...not as rude or snooty as other Turdneaus - or Shreve by Union Square. However, the prices, knowledge levels etc. are what they are. OK place to browse. |

If it's called a Rolex store it's probably new and not Tourneau. In So Cal (Century City and South Coast Plaza), when the Rolex stores opened, Tourneau lost their Rolex franchises at those malls. The one in SCP is owned by Baron & Leeds and I believe the CC one is owned by Gearys. Both sell Rolex only and have very large selections.

That place is a mall , so may not be a "rolex store" but rolex dealer. I think it is a relocated dealer jade galore which was in Chinatown

I'm not familiar with Jade Galore but I'm pretty sure they can do a better job than Tourneau based on my experiences at Tourneau. I don't think Rolex will let Tourneau keep selling Rolex at that location once there's another Rolex dealer next door.

Ya I don't think that tourneau us an AD.
I been to all 3 jade gal ores they seem to be reasonable dealers (some discount and complimentary tea) is always a warm gesture I fall for There's only a few of the tourneaus that are rolex AD in cali from what I've been told. The one on market st is AD and it's weird cuz the sidewalk door opens up to a big crowded busting street |

Well the LA Rolex store is run by Gearys in Beverly Hills ( I think), so its possible the new Rolex boutique is being run by a third party.
The SF Tourneau is a joke, I had a heated discussion with the Rolex expert who swore there was no new Green sub at Bazel. Thankfully a quick google on my iphone shut him up. I would never buy from Tourneau The new store is opening in Fall 2011, where the lower priced Tourneau was (next door to the SF tourneau on Market st) |

My wife is friends with the family that owns Jade Galore, and I bought her engagement ring and diamond earrings from them. I'm pretty sure that Jade Galore is not involved with the Rolex boutique opening at Westfield downtown. JG recently opened a location at Stonestown Galleria after shuttering their original location in SF Chinatown. The JG stores in Milpitas and Cupertino are still open.
They've always given us great service.

Well, hope that a Rolex only shop does open up and that they are better ambassadors for Rolex Vs. Shreve and Turdneau. Wow...that's one heckuva collection you have there. Pics sometime? |

I was there today. It is replacing the lower end watch store that was in the space next to Tourneau. Opening in the fall of 2010.
