Women and men watches...too much?

I say wear it big, some of the smaller womens Rolex look too small. Big is the newer trend and I say who cares what anyone thinks wear what you like. Welcome to the forum.

I think men's Rolex watches generally look great on women. However, if you were going out in an evening dress, I would prefer to see a ladies Rolex on your wrist.

i think that particular watch is a tad big but my lady wears my sub and gmt all the time. i just have to polish out the bad scratches later!!!! LOL

Personally speaking, the womens Rolex's appear too small today. "Times They Are A Changing"..However, comfort is critical..I my opinion it overrides looks, so if one likes the way it looks and it's comfortable..Go For It! They look Great on Ladys wrists...

This is my first post, I just joined the forum and already I have leaned a lot - thanks.

I am buying my first Rolex, a men's TTDJ. I am tired of not being able to read my ladies's watch so I'm getting the larger 36mm. I tried on many styles since my wrist is very small I wasn't sure what would look good. Some of the styles are more feminine than others. The TT Jubilee bracelet and chanpagne dial look good on me with my blonde hair. Now I'm trying to decide where to buy from online or AD.

I think it depends on the women. My wife is 5 feet tall my Sea-Dweller is way too big for her. I even tried to get her to wear my Explorer I and it looked huge on her wrist.

I think a taller women can pull it off.

Try some of the trusted sellers here first. They have better prices. Tony, Mosco, David, Oscar, there are a quite a few that have many different styles and colors.

As a woman who is 5'8" and who wears 3" + heels to work every day...I do think men's watches are way too big on a woman.

I've worn the ladies' size (29mm) Yachtmaster since 2001. It looks perfectly proportioned on my wrist. It looks larger than many ladies' watches because the automatic movement makes it a thick watch (most women's watches come in quartz movements, including the Patek Philippe Twenty-4, so they are very thin), and the bezel makes it pretty wide (much more so than a ladies' DateJust). For fun, I've tried on both the 35mm mid-size version of my watch at an AD (looks too big) and on my husband's 40 mm Submariner (way, way too big). The face of a man's watch takes up the entire width of my wrist, which looks disproportionately large.

I've also read threads and posts on TRF for several months from men who think the Deep Sea/Sea Dweller is large and thick on their wrists.

Obviously, it is a matter of personal preference (heck, I'm one of the few holdouts who still wears skirts, nylons, and heels to work), and you should get what you like. There are women who love big, chunky necklaces and bracelets, and others who like petite jewelry.

I was just at the AD in Vegas this past week looking at watches and I was saying to the wife that I bet they barely sell any of those little womans watches anymore.They said sales are definitely less on those models. They just don't look right to me anymore. All the younger crowd was wearing the larger watches. It seems to be the trend now. I think it looks great. To each there own.
