Sorry to say this but i think my rolex collection stops at my sub.

I was just out having dinner with a friend of the family and like a WIS i saw one of my grails. In the thread if money was no object i clearly stated i would have a sub (already attained) a rose gold APROO Rubber Clad AND the creme de la creme would be a Patek 5712G Well our friend had a patek 5712R in rose gold the nautilus with moon phase complication complication small seconds, power reserve, and a date. Oh man what a beautiful piece. I handed my sub to him saying i just picked it up last week and he handed me his patek. The movement was astonishing the micro rotor was something amazing and the presence this watch had was inescapable. Next time i see him i'm going to ask him if he ever feels like letting it go let me know first.

Sorry guys but i need to save up my cash invest it wisely and get me a 5712 patek. I should have taken a wrist shot but that would be a little much. He did mention that i'm the second person to notice his patek in toronto. The first one was a real estate agent he just put an offer for a property in toronto. We were having a full course private dinner for 20 people at the Fairmont Royal York in downtown toronto. AND to top it all off he also has a gold Audemars Royal Oak but not the rubber clad i might see that one next time.

Like you, the Sub-c is the only Rolex I need/want/desire.

Sounds like it was a fun dinner.

I still want the new explorer and all but man am i ever in love with that patek. There is no doubt in my mind that Rolex will be my daily wear that's for sure. I might go with the new orange explorer as well but that patek is calling my name like no other. now i just need to justify the 40 or so grand it would take to get it definitely not now. Maybe for my 40th birthday which is 12 years away.

Nothing to be sorry about, the only sorry thing I ever feel is that I don't have enough money now to buy that watch that you wanted too... because I LOVE it as well... :)

Cheers mate!

That is badass man...

You're 28 and you seem to be doing well for yourself. Keep it up and you'll pick up the PP in a few years.

I'm also 28 and two of my grails include a PP and an AP ROO! Great minds think alike.

Hi Rani Drama,

The Rose Gold AP ROO Rubberclad is my Grail as well and I would take that over that Patek everyday based on looks alone! I do not know how far apart they are money wise?

The Rose Gold AP ROO Rubberclad is a really masculine sportswatch that work with everything from casual to semi formal, the patek is a more formal watch to me!

cheers

I'm sure you can find room for both Rolex and Patek in your watchbox.
