GMT II stick font 16710 M series with 3186 movement

I am curious if anyone knows approximately how many 2008 M series GMT II stick font 16710 with 3186 movement have been produced. How many pepsi and how many coke models?

There's prob. no way to know for sure. I don't think Rolex dellv's that kind of information out.

However the GMT II 16710 3186's seem to be little more common than the GMT ll (Stick face) 16710 3186's.

bellow is a picture of mine

GMT ll M 3186

Thank you,

Yes I do feel lucky that I was able to get my hands on it. In fact when I bought it I really knew nothing about what I had just purchased. All I did know was my AD, whom I purchased the watch from had explained to me that it was a rare find and a Rolex "Limited edition" (even though rolex doesn't make limited edition's). I had originally gone in there looking at Seamaster's and sub's to buy. Something nice that I could enjoy for my money that would maybe gain in value over time.

She steared me away from all that and convinced me to buy the GMT, which I had no real interest in and knew nothing about until I tried it on. Once I did I was hooked and I'm glad I bought it.

Because know I have the seamaster which came some time after and a new Sea Dweller that I bought a few weeks back. I'm working on some pictures now and I will be posting some soon. So keep a look out and thanks again.

If you don't already own one good luck on your search for your own GMT II M.
Keep a look out there's usually someone on the sales forum every few weeks or so that will bring one up for sale. Sometimes you can get a decent deal.

There are quite a few 16710 with the stick font and cal 3186, but in the realm of modern Rolex I guess you could call it rare since it was made for roughly one year. But IMHO it will take 20 years at least to see what really happens with this watch.

no one here is going to have a clue...

there are not many, though, and they are priced high.

here's mine that was just acquired... it's not a stick dial. but just the fact that i found this for a super deal is enough to put me over the moon.

i wouldn't worry too much about dial variants. if it's not overpriced, go for it. but the older 16710 watches are also super performers, which is why so many here wear them.

Given total production inclusive of all models, I would say roughly 30-40K. Here's mine w/ the box variant:

What a trivial question

You can get a few guesses here, but that is all that they are..........guesses.

The M series came w/both a rectangular II font and the sticks, so who knows how many of each variant were made. Here's my M Pepsi w/the sticks.

It's true...not many around at all. I've heard a number from somewhere around 30k of them made. They discontinued them half way through the year.

Padi will be along shortly to tell you all you are a few bricks shy of a load

Many believe the watch's "rarity" and "collectibility" to be poppycock.

I would not mind having one mind you...but I am delighted with my 16710 rectangular II's

The now infamous internet hype stick dial its just a simpe font chance like the many over the past few decades. And anyone paying more for these watches with the 3185/6 IMHO must be sixpence short of a shilling.
