It really depends on what your MRI shows. If you have a partial tear, then a trial of physical therapy can definately help ALOT and you could get back full mobility. If its a full tear of the rotator cuff then surgery is the only option.

Brother, you need an MRI of your shoulder and an Orthopedic consult. Either way, doesn't sound like your going to be 100% by your vacation.

I sincerely hope it works out for your my friend.

Cortisone mainly covers up the symptoms. It is always best to focus on the cause. In my opinion the pain is the body's natural response to tell you to slow down. Healing takes time thus patience. Listen to the message your body is sending. I hope you find what is best for you and heal quickly.

As stated the shots only last for a finite period of time and how each person reacts to the drug can be different. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis in all my major joints and have been getting shots for over 20 years. I have limited relief in the joint for sometimes upwards of three weeks but when I was in really bad shape (active and flaring) it would only give me relief for 2-4 days. You need to find out what structural damage has occurred and probably have surgery. Right now I have to make an appointment with a hand surgeon to have a wrist replacement done to my right wrist.
