5512 versus 5513
Can anybody explain to me what "2 lines of a 5513 and not the 4 lines of a 5512" means ... and do you have pictures of these watches next to each other?
I saw an article on jake's bolg with a reference that steve mcqueen also wore a 5513 and not only 5512 ... and you cld see it by the lines ,,, thanks

Sorry have not got any pictures but the 5512 was chronometer rated with superlative chronometer officially certified the 5513 was not just Submariner plus depth rating.Whle its possible to get 5512 and 5513 with the same Cal 1530 plus some 5512 had the cal 1570.

Ah ,,, 2 lines Submariner, 660 ft - 300 m and 4 lines Submariner, 660 ft - 300 m, superlative chronometer, officially certified ... bingo

Yep. Noteworthy though that very early 5512s were two line. It's birth preceded the 5513 by a few years and there has always been some debate as to whether early examples were certified.
