Would be great to rotate with the DJ.

White without a doubt! Traditional would agree.

I had the white one, possibly the best watch that I ever had...but now I think that I would go for black one, without any particular reason...
No matter color, Explorer II is one great watch, perhaps most comfortable sport watch out there!

Black dial>>>>>>>>>

I like the contrast between the red 24 hour hand and the black dial better.

It was the last Rolex I've purchased.

best,

Frank

I much prefer the black (that's what I wear). I'd like the white a lot more if its dial were like that of the TT white dial YM, with black markers. I know that a cave diver would need the lume (that's who it was designed for, right?), but I think this would balance the watch a little more and make the face look less dull.

I also think that the white should be offered with a Jubilee bracelet, to make the whole thing less monochromatic. Rarely will I advocate PCL on a watch, but I think it really livens that particular one up.

from a practical point of view, the black have shiny metallic hands so in dim light when the lume is dead you can still see the time.
