Lume Experts: Here is a hypothetical

Suppose you buy 3 brand new subs from AD.
You subject the watches to the following conditions:

Watch #1: Locked up in a safe for 1 year, never to see light of day.
Watch #2: You wear it as a everyday watch for one year.
Watch #3: You keep it under superbright constant light, like a light used in a stadium, light shining on the dial for one year continuously.

Now, one year later:

1) which watch has the most lume remaining?
2) In other words, which watch's lume will last longest?

I think they all will be roughly the same. But watch one will have more glow than the other two.

I haven't a clue, but my instinct tells me watch #1 will be the winner.

Since they are using Luminova, I believe they will all be still glowing however one watch ( the one in the safe) may have more brightness because it has not seen light yet.

I agree, since the watch has been in a safe for 1 year, it wouldn't have been exposed to any light.

#3 is the big variable...if heat is involved, the dial may suffer some adverse effects. Aside from that, SL has been shown not to deteriorate in normal conditions.

If your dials are tritium, they will yellow best when stored.

If they're all Luminova, I would guess that the last option would probably have the least lume. Just a guess, though.
