Easily the Datejust, but of the sports watches, it would be the GMT IIc, closely followed by the Daytona. The Sub Date, of course, has been split down the middle with the two models

As I say, the Sub Date's been split down the middle this year, so for one individual reference of watch, in my experience so far, more 116520s have been sold than 16610s or 116610s

Two models? I thought a sub date was a sub date but with six different variants as alluded to in the poll?

I have no idea!! If I was to guess--I would say Sub C's-all types or DJ's.

I take things as individual model references, gets far too complicated and biased if we're looking at model families as there are so many different variants. The Datejust range alone is huge, 4 different sizes, 6 different metal options, hundreds of dials, 4 bracelets etc.

agree. But i would class a subc as model number 11661*** anything after the first five numbers is a variant of. Or am i mistaken?

Well, it's all down to interpretation. I, for one, use model family, metal, as well as bracelet and bezel (where applicable). The dial is less important for me. So, although the 116610, 116613, 116618 and 116619 are all classed as Sub Dates, I would personally classify them as 4 different models. It makes it easier for direct comparison, so, for example, you could compare the 116613 to the 116713, 116523 and 16623 for direct sales. When it comes to model families, different ones have different numbers of individual references, so the Daytona has the most out of the sports models, then Yacht-Master, then Sub and GMT, then your single models (Explorer, Explorer II, Sub ND and DSSD). When you're comparing model families, the figures are always going to be hard to compare
