You're not sure of the white face, so it's probably out, but, for me, the polar is a perfect dress up/dress down sport model. Appropriately stealth with work wear, but, robust and solid when it needs to be on the weekends. About as opposite as you can get from the DSSD among the sport models, IMHO.

GMTC SS

I am in the reverse, I have at GMTc and will be getting SDDS next (wife permitting)
I find the GMT fits under the business shirt nicely with cufflinks, ohh and its a bit of looker

This is amusing b/c I have the same issue with my wife. I got the sdds about 4 months ago and it was a BIG deal for her. Not that we can't afford it, she just thinks that spending 7 k on a watch is utterly ridiculous. (I can see her point).

Now fast forward to today and I want ANOTHER watch!!!

What's your strategy?

, i did buy her DJ with salmon face 36mm and she loves it so she is coming round to the whole Rolex thing. My 2 year old son will have a sports model one day as an heirloom maybe when he hits 21, so why not a GMTC or the SDDS from me? in the mean time I will have to wear both

Not a Sub-C though, because they are practically for the same purpose as the SDDS...

Agree, if it has to be a sport model that is what I would choose.

However given what you have if it were me I would get a DJ. This way I would have a sport and then a more dressy option.
