Hello everyone. Just curious what the preferences of the TRF members were between US AD watches of International Grey Market watches. Look forward to the replies.

I for the genuine article - which is cheaper. Of course, I will only buy from a reputable source.

US grey market or gently used from a trusted seller for me. The tax saving and savings off MSRP can buy a lot of other toys!

US AD, with papers and warranty in your name is the way to go.

I have only purchased from one specific AD so far, however if I were to go grey market I would purchase from a trusted seller on this website.

There is no right or wrong answer to that question ..... it is a matter of what you (the buyer) are more comfortable with ....... and welcome to TRF!

I don't believe there is such a thing as a US grey market. I believe it is called the grey market because the watches are brought into the US from other countries. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't believe there is such a thing as a US grey market. I believe it is called the grey market because the watches are brought into the US from other countries. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Definition of grey market: A market where a product is bought and sold outside of the manufacturer's authorized trading channels.
For our purpose: Grey market dealer: Anyone selling a watch that is not an authorized dealer.
