Submariner (no date) being discontinued?

Is this really true? If so, does anyone know exactly when it will happen?

TIA

I hope not, it's a classic.

there is a talk of Rolex releasing a ceramic Sub ND next year, but obviously nothing is cerain until Basel 2011.

most ADs are still receiving and selling current non-ceramic Sub NDs.

no one will really know when it will be discontinued - unless Rolex announces it offically

Well until I see it for myself I won't believe it, as AD's never know really what's happening at the best of time.

Just have a search of the forum and you will see for yourself

I can't imagine Rolex changing the Sub ND but I guess anything is possible since they have already made many changes the past few years!!!

Well it was on display at Basel 2010 and expect to see it at 2011 too.The amount of time and the amount of posts lately on TRF without facts about the discontinuation of Rolex watches. Its a wonder Rolex has any models left to sell, the only one that knows when any model is discontinued is Rolex, and unfortunately my own personal crystal ball is broken.

Rolex never comment on the continuation/discontinuation of models unless it's at Basel, which isn't until the Spring of next year. My feeling is that the ADs you've been speaking to have been treating the expectation of an updated model next year as a certainty, and if there's one thing I've learnt about Rolex, nothing is ever certain until they say so.

Since they have never even cleaned up the through-hole case, or even put an upgraded bracelet on the Sub; I would find it unlikely that they would suddenly toss it into the ceramic line-up, or even discontinue their only classic...
