Thanks for all the good wishes guys!
Been wearing it all day, bigger than anything I've owned, but very comfortable and sits flat on my wrist due to the flat back. All the functions work perfectly smoothly and accurately, none of the little niggles that some reported with the earlier ones. As I mentioned I'm a car guy, and since the image of the original Monte was so closely tied to cars, I can't wait for a bit of better weather to grab some snaps (another hobby) of my new lump posed with an old crock, or maybe even something newer... Paul,
Congratulations, it is a beautiful watch. I recently had a Tudor Hydronaut II, and I was blown away by the case quality and the Tudor Oyster bracelet. For clarification, as you probably know the Heritage uses an ETA 2892 with the Dubois-dépraz 2054 module. The AP Royal Oak Offshore uses a JLC 2126 movement with a Dubois-dépraz 2840 module. The module works great. Tag Heuer used them all the way back in the 80’s on quartz movement. Interesting evolution of quartz technology, but that is another issue. With the DD module, you are limited when you have to perform service 10 years down the road as most watchmakers do not have the fixturing or training to work on the DD module. It really is a non-issue as any Rolex RSC will work on a Tudor. It is only an issue when you have a local watchmaker that you like to use. It is stunning watch!

Like you, I'm also not concerned about possible potential repairs on the module somewhere in the far future... I wouldn't bring my high tech turbo intercooled car to my local gas station for a rebuild, a local watchmaker (if such a thing still exists in this area) won't be fiddling in my Tudor any time soon...
