Never been to Dubai...and hating the idea of a cruise as a vacation. Apart from duty free prices, it seems to me a cruise ship would be the worst place to buy a Rolex. The "AD" has no competition...and a captive audience!

No good prices at the official ADs you'll have to look for some grey dealers around the Creek but don't expect good deals either .Be aware tho, plenty of scammers in that area and plenty of folks that mix up boxes and warranty cards...
Dubai is a great place for Rolex watching as you basically have AD's with every single model available, but prices are nothing to be fancy about. I've managed to get a 10% on a LV at the Seddiqi store inside the Al Qasr hotel shopping mall, but that's it. |

I was there last month and popped into a few Ahmed Siddiqui stores. I did get offered a decent discount but nothing worth shouting about. Having said that, if I pulled out the cash/card I believe a better discount was there for the taking.

I beg to differ. Was in London last week, the price in London (after VAT) is still 10-30 quids more than Seddiqi in Dubai. At the Dubai airport, you can get it 10% cheaper than listed price in Dubai.

I would say a difference of 10 to 30 quid is pretty much on a par? The deepsea in Dubai mall worked at about 80 more expensive but exchange rates an all that. Have been offered discount for cash

I was there a few weeks ago and visited a few ADs - service was atrocious and prices were high (if you are converting to sterling) - the Euro is pretty strong at the moment so those in the eurozone should find the prices more competitive. Best deals at the airport.

Cheers guys, I am in the eurozone as I live in Spain and euro is pretty strong. but if the discounts aren't there I'd rather give my existing AD the sale.
