Anybody use an iPhone for photos?
I have noticed a few of the iPhone pictures posted on the forum are geo tagged. This means the GPS location where the photo was taken is in the photo. On firefox, I can just right click the picture to get the exif details, click on the GPS info and have a map pop up showing the location.
There are a couple things involved here. 1.) Disable GeoTagging in your phone. 2.) If you post photos link back to a photo sharing site, make sure you strip the exif out of the photo before posting to the Photo sharing site. You can do this in Photoshop or there may be an option when uploading the photo to the photo sharing site. I just use Photoshop, so don't ask me how to do any other way. I am sure other forum members suggest how to do it without Photoshop. regards, Robert |
