Age 19 for me, 22 years later still wearing it. Funny part is I like it more now than when It was new. I use to not care or worry about 15-20 years ago now I do care and worry about it.

Got mine somewhere between 45 and 50. Should have gotten it a lot sooner. For you guys agonizing over whether to buy or not, if you can swing it , go for it! They don't get any cheaper. Incidentally, I heard JJ's parents put a DJ on him in his crib. His first words were: " too small, too small!"

Around age 55...I almost did earlier but got seduced
by a Breitling...that was in 1988 when there were so many knockoffs of Rolex that it took away some of the fun. The Breitling Chronomat was the new kid on the block and so I did that for several years. From 1963 to 1988 my only watch and daily wearer was a 14k dress Accutron...a great piece...went through my military service and anything else I could do to it. Wish I had it back.

13 well sort of, my uncle had the 5513 from new, he died my dad got it wore it for ages the I grabbed it and put on a velcro band and surfed with it and wore it to school until 16 then dad took it back, put the original band back on had it serviced and kept it until last year then he gave it to me, so I'm now 37
Bought an LV in 2006 for 10th anniversary and never really liked it so I flipped it last month, I now have a Dweller in the cross hairs. Trouble is we are building a beach house so funds are poor, so dweller may have to wait till 40th. |
