The most consistent bidder (who ended up winning) has an ebay rating of zero.

Shill bidding??????????????????

As a person who has been going to auctions for 32 years and using eBay for 12 years I can’t see how you could say with any certainty that there has been shill bidding in this case.

It could just be a case of a new ebayer getting excited/not really understanding eBay and bidding foolishly.

I am not saying for sure that is the case either way. I sure wouldnt bet my house on either being true. Who gives a pigs ass anyway !!!!!!!!!! Some of us need to find better things to do than worry about such things that dont even effect us !!!!!

Remember any system can be manipulated !!!!

Pay what you want to pay = no problems.

It's been shilled by the zero feedback bidder, probably the seller himself!

He needs to learn how to do it....could have sold for a decent price.....I bid against a shill (didn't know what it was called) bidder once and let him have it to himself 3 minutes before the end

It sold for $2300. Whether it was a shill bidder or not, the selling price is reasonable and a very fair price.

I tend to agree with some of the other posts here, that when I see a lot of "0" feedback bids, it is usually a big red flag to me.

I find your comment rude... or maybe you dont understand how auctions work.

how do you know i was unaffected? if you were interested in bidding on the item, would you consider yourself unaffected? i have an idea for something better you can do with your time; how about determine if Australia has laws against shill bidding an auction.

I am smart enough to know it doesnt matter weather of not there are laws against something, it dont mean it aint gonna happen!!!!!!

If you dont like the game - get out of it !!!!!!!!!

I again state - THERE IS NO CONCLUSIVE EVEDENCE THAT SHILL BIDDING HAS OCCURED IN THIS INSTANCE !!!!!!! If you KNOW different perhaps you can tell me the winning numbers in lotto next week !!!!!

What if your so called "shill" bidder had 203 auctions under his belt - you still couldnt say for sure weather it had been shilled or not.

Hell I am glad im not charged with murdering my wife, with you on the jury !!!

I am not surprised that you did not answer my questions. This is further "evedence" as you put it that you do not understand how auctions function. (after 35 years?)

I sincerely hope that all your future ebay endeavors involve being outbid by 0 rated bidders. then i hope you see the seller on a board offering the watch for slightly more.

cheers

None of your questions warrented answering.

You can not be 100% sure this listing has been shilled

Its a pitty I dont understand how an auction works considering I spend over 500k at auction every year.

I dont care if anyone outbids me, even if its the vender!!! You should also have the same attitude. If the item has been shilled, you were never going to get it for your price - go on to the next one, and get over it !!!!!!!!!

I am amazed that two strangers can be so rude to each other over such a trivial matter !
Lighten up gentlemen , watch forums do not exist for grown men to indulge in such petty
rudeness. I'm off to chapel now , God bless you all !

I’m just being direct. I dont personally care what anyone says or thinks about me

I am trying to point out one should only make claims they can substantiate.
