A comment certainly on the mean chronology and expendable time.
Sorry the conversation is boring to you, at least we didn't have a stupid poll to answer. The fact is that there are always people that are new to Rolex or mechanical watches and they have questions. I personally like to answer them and make them feel welcome.

The typical watch snob tends to get bored with the same ole questions and make it known in the public.

Boring didn't come out of my mouth.
Actually I find it very amusing and refreshing

That is a good thing

I've heard that in some lands, if you can hear the tick of your watch;

A hungry crocodile is nearby.

That's certainly not how it sounded in your first post, Mrdi. Is every thing O.K., pal?

Not to get off topic but I used to argue that the AKD did not exist! I was shocked and didn't understand why

Gentlemen,
I find the situation funny.
We as a group are educated and affluent.
We communicate on a worlwide venue with state of the art equipment.
We are entertaining as a group the sound of the ticking, or tocking as the case may be, of our Rolex watches.
The situation is pregnant with humorous irony.

I am fine CJ, thanks for the inquiry.

That's nearly as old as the joke about two old ladies who when visiting the Olympic Village saw a fit young man walking by carrying a vaulting pole.

One of them said....."Ooh, are you a pole vaulter?"

The young man replied,
"No, I am German, but how did you know my name is Walter?"

Steve.
If I rest mine on one of my acoustic guitars it acts as an amplifier and I can hear it tick; otherwise I have to hold it right next to my ear in a quiet room.

I really have to take offense to one of your statements above!!!

CJ is certainly not educated.

Didn't mean to jump on ya mate, just think it is important to let newbies know any question is okay.

Glad things are well and thanks for the explaination.
