Thank you, Ken.

I'm chuffed, as my friends across the water are fond of saying, to have this baby back. It's so unusual given the large size and rotating bezel. And vintage is so comfortable to wear on the relaxing weekends.

No such thing as a poor cousin when it comes to a Rolex (Tudor) timepiece! As Ken mentioned looking good! Very crisp, sharp, and Iconic!

Rolex day-date ref 18238. This was my grail Rolex I have wanted since I first saw one when I was 18. I could have and afforded to buy one when I was 30 but could never bring myself to spend the money until my "golden" 50th birthday last December.

I have worn it three times, and felt very conspicuous and a bit ostentatious with it on my wrist. It looks and feels great but maybe I worked it up in my mind too much to ever really enjoy wearing it versus just "having it".

I can relate to your self-consciousness the first several days of wearing the President. For me, as for you, so much work and effort went in to being able to comfortably afford this watch, and so much planning occurred, that it initially felt like the whole world was staring at my wrist and judging me. However, that feeling did wear off, and now I just proudly wear and enjoy my watch. I hope you can begin to wear yours more often, if that is your choice, as it is such a beautiful time piece, and you put in so much work to own it.

Got this beautiful 18238 in the mail. It fits perfect and looks great. Now I have a great choice everyday....do I were an awesome TT Blue Sub or do I wear a fantastic YG Daydate. Oh the stress I put myself through!

Regards, Tim in Hawaii

Pics are from my phone so they are not the best.
