I love it!! Great work! I would love to see pics of the process to transform the bezel. It is stunning.

In the end it is a frankenwatch that I would have no interest in. But I'm sure you will find some interested buyers. Good luck with your project.

Yes - all original parts included. Box, papers or you supply watch I do the conversion.
I have had a great response. Thanks everyone.

I'm not sure about this . By selling these Rolex would class it as fake , counterfeit and could sue you for TM infringement .

Looks very good ..., and I agree that it looks better
than the current/modern Daytona designs. |

Of all the modifications I've seen this must be the best ever.
In general I do not like modifications, but that's just me (and I have to admit to having done some changes myself, but using original parts). I am surprised that Rolex Geneva themselves have not done this. This is my favourite look on the Daytona. I applaud your modification, and fully support the idea to have the lugs brushed for an up-to-date look of the very classical 6263. It makes me happy to see people do the changes they prefer, on things they own. Obviously it is a delacate balance between the original look, and the modified look. I also find it interesting to see how different the proportions of the dial is compared to the older, where the sub dials are positioned further apart. Someone proposed an albino look, which would also be great. Once again: Well done, and thanks for sharing your pictures: Rolex Geneva: Look at this!!! Best, A |

Here are the two together to compare dial proportions 6263 vs 116520. The fake comments are funny - this watch doesn't exist. It is not a replica of an existing watch nor could it ever be passed off as such. It is just a look I prefer better than the available Daytonas. It is the perfect everyday watch that can be worn with no fear or accidently ruining a classic vintage watch and that was the purpose of the project.

I'm all for making a watch your own, God knows I've done my fare share. Although not this extent.
A great deal of time, effort, and thought went into this project. Great execution. The use of "Heritage" is spot on. I prefer this style Daytona over the current reference too. However, the sub dial locations and overall proportions always grab me at first glance. Not sure if that would always be the case or if it would quickly become the new normal. Anyway, congrats on the results. dP

so you swap dial and bezel before service and you're done - an immediately reversible mod.

Looks awesome!
This is the way the Daytona should look like, not the bling version of today, where it is hard to read the chronograph. Back to the roots |

Very nice! It is amazing how much a bezel and a dial can do.

This is the first modern SS Daytona I've seen that appeals to me. Great job.

The originals are what the collectors want. The restomods can be driven without fear of losing value with every mile. I'd consider this for one of my 116520s. |

I think it looks great.
I am a bit confused about the dial. Is it a modified Rolex dial or fabricated from scratch? I would think modified is okay but otherwise I'd expect the Rolex lawyers will be gearing up since it has the logo on it.

Original Rolex dial refinished - just a stock 116520 dial with different colors - ok that simplifies the complete pain that it was to get the silver just right and the sub-dials to look good.
