I work with a few guys that have a Rolex. One of my close co-workers has a nice vintage day-date that he inherited from his father. The rest have Subs and Daytonas.

I design and sell 401(k) plans for businesses so I meet with a lot of financial advisors. My guess would be that one out of every five financial advisors I meet with wears a Rolex. It is almost like you are required to buy one once you pass your Series 7 exam.

Interesting story. A few years ago I had been thinking about getting a Rolex and wasn't sure which model to get. I met with a financial advisor who I passed a 401(k) plan to. He wore a Yacht-Master and I loved the look of it. We then went out to do an enrollment meeting for a business and the owner complimented the advisor on his watch. A few week ago we went back to do another meeting with that same company now 3 years later. By now I had a Yacht-Master along with my advisor friend. We get out their and the business owner had bought one as well. I wanted to take a photo because you rarely see that watch in public, let alone 3 of them. Just goes to show you how your watch can inspire others to get the same or a similar model.

Yes other sales people in my real estate office wear one. I'm the only one that's a freak though.

Lots of Rolexes about. Physicians love Rolex. Especially the lady DJ.
Mostly steel, some 2tone.
Mine is the only SD I've seen though.

It's good to see Rolex owners are hard working and do most of the work at their place of business :D Might be something to consider as an employer.

Yes, I'm the only one who wears Rolex in my department.
I work in a company that makes chipsets.
Nobody knows that it is a Rolex (which is cool) and most of my co-workers don't wear a wristwatch anyway

I work for a Canadian Financial Institution that has its US operations based in North Carolina and there are quite a bit of Rolex around. Most people have DateJust (Steel & TT), some Subs, not many DayDate but I have not seen anyone else wearing a Daytona.

Off topic- I used to live in Miami and everyone wore highend watches, Rolex, Cartier, Patek, Panerai, etc. In Raleigh you dont see that many people wearing the same watches.

2 others and myself in an office of about 30. One guy noticed my new GMT the first day I was wearing it at the office. He has a 10 year old Sub. Just noticed the other guy this week, also a Sub, as he was in a short-sleeved shirt.

automotive manufacturing and design

My SS Submariner and I worked in an automotive manufacturing and design plant. The only other Rolex in the office was worn by the engineering manager. He was a RAF jet pilot in his younger days and sported the NATO strap.
I was just young in my younger days.

I wear my sub everyday to work, I love it. I manage a national sales force for blue chip medical company. My MD wears an explorer, no one else does as far as I know. In my sales environment the choice of quality watch is an OMEGA - they could afford a Rolex if they were sufficiently motivated to have one I guess.

No I know of a couple more Rolex's being worn around the offices , but there are more AP Off Shore's by company staff . I have found out why : Those that have the AP's are the engineers and on sight managers that were linked to a Saudi project . They were given these at the end of the project about 5 years as a bonus present by the client .

There's no-one called Tom, Dick nor Harry where I work. There is another Rolex-wearer, though, called Jane.

Well i'm a student so no workplace as such. I however do work at my student union behind the bar of its nightclub so I actually do get to see quite a few watches during my shifts.

I do in fact see quite a few Omega's, mainly Seamaster's (Bond) and PO's. It's a very rare occasion that I see a Rolex (apart from my own ) but when I do see them I really only see them on women, and mainly datejusts. I have however, to my amazement seen one WG Daytona Panda Dial and I've always thought it takes some serious balls to wear that out to a student club.

All in all I've come to the conclusion that Omega is the luxury timepiece of choice of male students and Rolex for females, at my university at least. However, when I've complimented anyone their watches, not many actually seem to know what model they're wearing and have in fact just been given them as 18th or 21st birthday presents. Obviously I'm not discounting those that in fact have worked very hard for their watches and appreciate them fully, I'm just speaking from my own experiences.

Unfortunately I am still to meet a fellow WIS student. That would be the day

There used to be several guys in the office that wore Rolexes, including one who collected and repaired watches in his free time. Those guys have all retired, though. It has been quite awhile since I've noticed someone wearing one, but it wouldn't surprise me if I did. I know my coworkers are pretty well compensated, so anyone who wanted one could afford one.
