14 minutes to go. Being a Minnesota guy, I'm cheering for UMD. Six kids on the team are from the Duluth area. It should be a great game. Everything else being fairly equal, Red Berenson could be the difference. He certainly out-coached Dave Hakstol from the University of North Dakota.

That "intent" explanation is a new one to me and my son-in-law who is watching with me. He played in the NCAA tournament as the captain of St. Cloud State University in 2007, 2008 and 2010. It's fun to hear his comments on what's happening on the ice that we don't see or hear. (An incredible amount of trash talk, apparently.)

Winnett again. Only five goals the entire season, but two when it counts.

Yes sir, good first period with chances both ways. If Michigan can be a bit better in their own end I think they are the better team.

I'm not a huge U of M fan, but I'm rooting for them.
I follow D2 football and a huge fan of Grand Valley State Univ. I'm sure a true UMD fan knows all about GV.
Congrats to UMD for the Fball championship. So no Hockey Champ. for you .
Come on Wolverines....

I am so glad that UMD advanced instead of the University of North Dakota. 16 kids from Minnesota play on UM-Duluth. Michigan had 11 players from Michigan. Only 2 North Dakota kids play on UND. It's good to see home-grown talent playing for the championship.

I understand, but the population of ND isn't that great, so it may be tough to get enough talent from ND.
