Rolex Wall Clock FAKE???

I think this might be fake because it clearly shows that it was created by "The Ohio Advertising Display Co" on the back. I would think this would be manufactured by the swiss. Take a look and tell me what you think of this POS...

Rolex Display Clock Circa 70's

Clean Rolex dealer's electric wall clock from the 70's. Circular black metal band with glass face. Blue seconds hand. White, black painted baton indexes, epee hands. Diameter is 52cm (20.5"). Works perfectly with original wiring but appears to have never been opened, so it could use a cleaning. Photo shows accumulated dirt and dust at base of clock). Very slight scratch, mid way up minute hand (see photo). Great iconic clock. This same clock went for $2400 at auction 12 years ago! Don't let this one get away...

The fact it is made in the US is not necessarily the problem . It's possible that RUSA has ordered USA based manufacturers to produce such clocks as it is mains powered and europe uses 220V against the 110V in the US . Back in the 70's things were not ran like now . We have seen bracelets made in the US to reduce import duties ect..
Now this particular clock /style I have never seen before in Europe , but I'm sure some US members here may know more about it .
Personally I wouldn't bid on it ..

It is hard to tell on this one. The age looks right with the manufacturer sticker on the back, but style looks very minimal. Might be something and AD or jewelry store had made back in the 70's.
