needed timing adjusted twice in last 3 months

Do I have to be so careful about how I wear my Rolex? Gained several hours in a day. This has happened twice. May have bumped slightly but I am not involved in vigorous activity.

Timing

You should not have to worry to much as long as you arent using a hammer drill or something else like this, your watch should maintain its time keeping. If it continues you made need an adjustment or even a service

If your watch is gaining several hours a day... and it has done this more than once..

Your problem is likely where you are placing it at night, or while on the job.. This sounds very much like a strong magnetic field is magnetizing parts of your movement..

Cell phones, PDA'a, wireless key fobs, etc., also create magnetic fields when transmitting too, so placing all this together on a counter can do the job.....

I am thinking the same thing. Happened to me as well, but I cannot figure out what the source might have been, as the watch was either on my wrist or in the winder.

First are you sure it gained several hours this is very unusual if watch had been running normal and even if bumped.Been wearing mine for many years and using them as tool watches never ever had any problem.

Yes I'm sure.
Watch was serviced and repaired in August, 2010. Adjusted Feb., 2011 and then again in April.
