Sub on Bund, Yay or Nay? Heavy Pics included
I always thought a Sub on a leather strap was a big no no. The bund strap seemed to be tailored for the Daytona and not the Sub. But then I tried it on and must say its quite comfortable and with the right outfit and of course the right mood the bund strap can be really enjoyable.
Shame I do not own a Daytona at the moment, Sub will have to do Custom and hand made from Cordovan Leather by Attila. "Bund" and "Cobra" Got to have the 16mm Rolex buckle to add the finishing touch. Thanks for looking. |

I think it looks good! However the bunds are too big for my wrist, I like the look though.

I'd have to see more wrist shots David. Not sure I like the look off the wrist. Maybe they look better when worn?

I definitely like it better on the wrist. I agree that it's good to change things up, and you are certainly right that changing to a strap is cheaper than buying a new watch!

Another thought: the bund might look really good with contrasting stitching like you see in the interiors of some sports cars. I have a black interior and coarse white stitching and it looks really nice. Maybe white, cream, or pale yellow stitching would go well with the dials.

Those are very nice looking watches.
I don't think leather and water go together very well. Nato will give the watches more utilitarian look I would imagine. Just my ignorant opinion. |

Love the watches
love the straps. However, they are tooooo big for the watches and your wrist. The perfect strap should complement your watch, to show off those beautiful patinas, and the DRSD writtings. I like the old style bunds much better.

The bunds are a personal choice I think...
They do look good, but I'd hate to have them on in a hot and humid climate. Love the DRSD David!

I think they look great David and make for a great change up from time to time. Nothing is permanent with straps!!

what he said
I agree-- nice look. I'd like to see the same watches on Attila's smaller width version. He makes one that is still Bund styling but not as wide under the watch head.

I dig them, very 60's-70's, a very cool look.
(I've heard lots of good things about Attila's straps....I wonder if he's related to Attila the Hun?) They are very cool........where are your bell-bottom jeans, Frye boots & fringed suede jacket?

I bought a $26 ebay bund and the look was not what I hoped for. I think quality matters as mine just doesn't sit as nicely at all.

No question you pay for what you get when it comes to these leather straps. I don't see any reason to skip out on a quality strap for your Rolex.
