Limited editions are always a good value item. But that doesn't mean it will always hold it's value or increase it's value immediately. However, you can count of it's price increase in say 5-10 years from now.
Buying used is always a great factor for me, I try to purchase pre-owned ones everytime I can, but in pristine condition of course. Why buy used you might ask? Well, if you get one in great condition, you'll probably end up having the same "faint scratches" or battle scars as I like to call 'em within 3-6 months of your usage anyway. And you worry less about nicking or having faint scratches as opposed to a brand new watch. Afterall, we buy watches to wear. Unless you're a pure collector who display your watches only, then I suggest you buy new.
