Disease
No sooner have I posted - very pleased with my new SS Sub c - I've notices the SS explorer and have immediately started wanting one :-(
Is this a recurring thing? Will I end up with more timepieces than I need!? lol What about anyone else? Anyone bought a single rolex and then a few months later ended up buying another one? Really loving the look of the explorer... |

Perfectly normal round these parts....Nothing normal about the parts though. Need has nothing to do with it!!
The explorer is a great watch...and a good choice to accompany your SubC.

Oh boy......
This is only the begining.
It only gets worse from here. Many here can confirm buying more than one Rolex in the same week. Enjoy the ride. |

I have been able to hold off new purchases for some time. My last addition was my SS Daytona but that does not mean I don't crave! Have a large project in my backyard that has taken my watch funds for a while. LOL.

Over the last year or so I have bought 6 Rolexes and flipped them all but one. I bought 2 different models TWICE. So yes, this is a sickness. By the way, an Explorer is a perfect compliment to the Sub. I'm waiting to see the new Explorer II in person myself to possibly add to the stable.

you've been bitten by the watch bug. in this case, it's the rolex bug. some of us experience server symptoms, but there are others who have better immunity against it. unfortunately, there is no cure for the disease. you will start to look at strangers' wrists when you are walking on the street. then you will get excited when you notice a fellow rolex wearer. and you'll get super excited when someone wears the same watch as you. the worst of all... you will be blown away when a fellow wis comes up to you and start talking about your watch. yes, this is common among us all.

lol Thanks everyone - glad I'm not the only one!
My AD is also the best Jeweller in Aberdeen - and I made subtle undertones to future business regarding engagements, wedding rings - things like that... I'm now smiling at the thought of our next conversation being yet ANOTHER watch for me and whether the lovely lady who looked after me will assume it's about the other business that I can't quite remember much about now... ;-) |

Its a severe illness, I am thinking of talking to my shrink about it. About two months ago my grandfather gave me his old 1960's Omega Deville Caliber 620. I had the wathc restored and wore it. Than a friend of mine had a 1960's Omega Geneve Caliber 562, I bought it and restored it. Than I recently bought my 1980's TT Rolex Date. I am hungry again. I need help, i know how you feel. My watch fetish might ruin my relationship with my partner. He hates watches, and is pissed that I spend a decent amount of money on them. Watches keep me from having a full mental breakdown.
