I've recently made the switch from a smp to a gmt aswell. The beauty of the oyster bracelet is that when the hot weather rolls around you can micro adjust one position larger to compensate for the stickiness and 'swelling' of your skin.

As others have suggested, natos are awsome. I have a grey maratac on my gmt as I type this. IMO natos are much better than zulus. Much thinner and moveable. Not to mention i feel like I'm going to force my spring bars out with a zulu installed.

Hope that helped.
