Thanks Eric for the post and for the pics
The cream dial Daytona is stunning, IMHO, and it is easier to read ... It's always a pleasure to see pictures of the South Cost Plaza, I really enjoyed my staying, time ago, in Long Beach Engi |

Here's a mock-up of what a SS ceramic daytona could look like. (found it on the net) Not bad IMO.

This would be nice, but is edited on a 16520 not the current 116520 (with silver sub dials). Based on the gold versions, the current 116520 dial would be more likely (unfortunately...)

Looks pretty nice as a mock-up. A black dial one would look a bit "blacked out" which might look pretty cool.
More importantly, the bezel won't get as much hairline scratches as the polished one currently gets. |

Time will tell, but it will be interesting to see how this bezel reacts to "hairline scratches" like your watch will normally acquire with wear. I'm not real sure of the durability of the ceramic in this particular configuration.

Not sure about the bezel but the brown/chocolate dial is gorgeous

Judging from the pics I got to say that the ceramic bezel looks good. the current one is polished and shiny anyway

^ It would be tough to resist. Especially if they revised the size. Doesn't seem as far-fetched as it may have been a few years ago...

I really wonder IF Rolex will release a ceramic bezel in the SS I'm not saying one way or the other, but it wouldn't be the first time they did something like that; (think all the bezels available in the AG and TT but not the SS version Daytona).

Just about the most un-Rolex looking watches in their lineup. Not my cup of tea, but there is likely a market for them or they would not exist...

i really really dont like them at all, ( from the pics) i think the ceramic against the gold and white dial especially makes it look really cheap, plasiticky and tacky.
I have seen many companies use gold and ceramic and it looks a lot nicer than these IMHO Thanks for the good pics though

Yep, try as I might, I couldn't get anything more than his wrist in front of the camera! He did slip into the Rolex PJ's though!
