So I got the bite.. Need some advice..

Hi All,

Since I picked up a Tutor snowflake on the cheap a few weeks ago I've really had the itch to pickup my first Rolex... I'll be honest, up until 3 weeks ago I really wanted nothing to do with Rolex - my perception was "People who don't really understand watches, but, want a nice watch, buy Rolex".. Boy was I wrong!

After doing a boatload of research, all I want to do now is get one..

I've spent a fair amount of $ recently on watches, so, my watch fund is empty.. I'm looking at moving a couple watches on a trade for a SD,Sub or GMT and want to get the educated groups opinion on this..

I'm looking at trading two IWC's that I've recently picked up in acquiring one

What I have is a IWC Spitfire Chronograph (3717-02) bought in May from an AD (well over 4k) by me as well as an IWC Mark XVI (bought used, no papers, but, excellent condition.. Paid 3k a few weeks ago)...

What do you guys think is a fair trade for me? (Both ways) and perhaps a decent trade value for what I'm offering? I'm thinking to be realistic somewhere in the 6k range..

I've posted a few WTT's out there, so, I guess I'll see what I get back, but, I don't want to feel like I'm undervaluing or low-balling what's out there.

What are you thoughts on my madness?

If anyone is curious, here is the pair:

I'd say you'd be able to pick up a nice Sub/SD for both of these in a trade. I really like IWC as well, but like you stated above, there's something about Rolex. After I purchased a Sub, that was it, hook-line-and-sinker.

Rolex is the best around. Lots of great pieces out there(I love a ton), but Rolex, is ROLEX.

I'd hunt around TimeZone and TRF to find the right deal. Problem will be getting someone to let go of their Rollie. Happy hunting!
