This is a new diver from Jaeger LeCoultre, made of titanium, 44mm, and 1000 meter wr. It has a GMT dial but no seconds hand. My understanding is that the rectangular blue/white indicator at the bottom is suppose to tell the diver whether the movement is still functioning correctly, although I don't know how this works. At this point, I don't know what it costs or what the movement is or any of the other relevant details. It looks nice though, I think. What do you think? Hit or miss?

I love JLC, just about one of the classiest watch manufactures going IMHO. This one is quite different from their normal look and I think it works, very elegant and simple, very strong and their movements are some of the best in the world, for me JLC has more cachet than Patek!

I like it however I dislike how the hands are kinda chopped down "nubby"
Looks clean without the seconds hand but would take some getting used to it.
Wonder what the price tag will read??

i like the dial and hands personally, just the case of brushed steel (?) sinks it.

It's a cool-looking watch, but I wouldn't own it. I'm with Chad...the no second hand part would drive me nuts.

I love JLC, innovative, and daring.

But for mechanical diving watches, what else can be done after the launch of the Submariner and Sea-Dweller? The gold standard every diving watch mesures itself today.

Been there, done that, and achieving the depth ratings required on a diving watch is now all too common.

If I'll pit myself against the gold standard of diving watches, I would rather take an aesthetical approach on it's design.

Surely, you can add GMT, chronograph, depth-gauge features. Use materials such as titanium or ceramics. However, these aren't necessary the "genes" of a diving watch.

The only thing I like about the Compressor Diving is the blue luminova.

I would get the Panerai Submersible, or GP Seahawk, or even the IWC Aquatimer before I would consider this one.

I actually like this one alot. A very functional diver from JLC. The only thing I'd change is of course, to make it in stainless with a bracelet!
