Let's see your Vintage Rolex (or rarity).

What is a vintage? I don't really know but let's just say for argument 1980 or previous, also include any vintage orange hand or valjoux Daytonas or Comex from any date.

Let's see some of these fine pics on a common thread and if anyone can persuade Padi to get some fresh hi res pics of his beauty then all the better.

Much better than going to the crappy other forums to see their vintage Rolex watches.

Always wondered why it is that the Speedmaster dials almost never show any aging in comparison with other types or brands of the same ages.
Better products used or casing?

This thread title should be "Let's see Mike's collection". Mike I'm always impressed with both the fine pics and watches.

Chris B, That's one great looking DateJust.

Just looked at Mike's collection.

Noted on 5513 6.04mil the spring bar holes in the lugs are elongating with wear. Have had the same problem myself. Can be fixed. See my first post in New Members forum which explains how it can be fixed.

Well Mike, you really should have a 6265 SS Daytona to add to that superb collection. For the record I just sent mine to Rolex Canada for complete reconditioning, minus of course, new hands, new dial, new bezel, as per my advice I obtained on this forum. Seriously, tho, I will be putting it back on the market within a month or so, so if you know anyone with an unlimited source of funds (lol), send him/her my way. I will have some pics taken when I get it back with its nice & shiny polished case & bracelet.
Regards
Jack

Seeing that you guys are also posting pocket watches :)

Humbert Ramuz chronograph 1890 - 1900 with Lecoultre movement.

Zenith Defy 1971 - 1973. Ref A 7652, cal 2562 PC, apology for the bad picture, picked from my website when I was still experimenting with cameras.

Got more but these I really like

1974 1680 red sub with hacking movement. Don't know if I like the term "vintage". I prefer that it just has a little more character than my new one.

Thanks, Allan.

The Wadsworth has sort of become unisex now, Nancy's taken a shine to it. I get to wear it when she says it's ok.

I can quite understand that. The Wadsworth looks as fabulous as any Rolex from the era. How is the accuracy? Actually, it looks so good, who cares...
