Classic cars
I recently had occasion to throw a party for my wife, to celebrate a significant birthday.
Her parents were happy to host the party at their house. With her father's permission, the following photos are some of his collection of classic and vintage automobiles that are currently at the house. For many years, he provided automobiles to Hollywood studios for movies, television, and commercials. These were taken prior to the arrival of the party guests. I hope you enjoy! |

MC1010 - Thanks!
Mven74 - Nope - this collection pales in comparison to Leno's, although Jay and my father-in-law are friends. Southern California car guys all seem to know one another. :-) |

Great collection!! Very surprised concrete floor is not coated with an epoxy and urethane system. Have him check out Armorcoat.com for lifetime systems!

WOW!! Very impressive collection, Allen. The only thing I don't like about that set-up is the way the cars have been packed so close to each other.
Leaves no walking space for the visitors. JJ

ppemillen - Thanks. I use an Olympus E-500 digital SLR. But, shiny paint under flourescent lighting makes any photos look good! :-)
JJ - Thanks. Yes, it is a tight fit. Usually when he has a group over, he moves a few of the cars to the front lawn, then repositions the ones in the garage to provide more walking room. Also easier to photograph that way. I wasn't able to get any shots of some of the cars due to the proximity of others blocking the shots. :-( |

That is one of the coolest things I have ever seen. The father of my college room mate has an AMAZING car collection as well. He has quite a few newer models, but PLENTY of older ones as well, though not quite the era of some pictured here. His don't seem to go much farther back than the 50's so it's nice to see some of that REALLY vintage stuff out there.
Thanks for the pictures, they are AWESOME!
