Icon6 Did I make the right deal?

Today I traded my 04 air king mint w/boxes &cert for a 1984 dj 2 tone with a kind of tired jubilee bracelet it has white dial roman numerals otherwise very nice watch from a very reputable pawn shop and feedback would be greatly appreciated

What's the service history on the DJ...you probably will have to invest another 5-600 into it having it overhauled at RSC.

Take it to an AD and see what they say. Don't take the shops word for it...I speak from experience I bought once from a pawn shop I'm not complaining I got a good watch at a good price only I had to send it to RSC because it was all messed up and shop said they overhaul all watches before selling...yeah right, if they do they do not do a very good job.

No service records and yes I do intend on sending it away for a clip and dip thanks for the info so $5-600 and they will make it look new? Including the slack in the bracelet?

Larry, other than a polish to a bracelet, Rolex will not do anything else....
They may even suggest you replace the bracelet (at your own expense and exchange only)! You can however pass on this option.

If your happy with the trade, then you did the right thing IMO.
Personally, that would not have been a trade for me.

Either way, enjoy your new time piece, and let's see some pics when you can!

Nope unfortunately just a polish... the replacement bracelet could and will be VERY expensive for a TT watch, we are talking in the thousands... As mentioned above if your happy with the deal, thats all that really matters, I would love to see some pics too
